Job summary
The Neuro- rehabilitation Service at East Lancs Hospitals Trust comprises of Rakehead Rehabilitation Centre which is a 17 bedded unit providing specialist neurorehabilitation for people with complex needs following a neurological event / diagnosis eg Acquired Brain Injury or spinal injury, and Rakehead Community Neurorehabilitation Team (RCNT) which provides this service in a community setting.
We are looking for team players to help us build on our achievements and to ensure that we respond to the challenges of people with complex rehabilitation needs. Our patients present with a combination of physical, psychological and cognitive impairments requiring the support of a dedicated MDT committed to supporting them to achieve their optimum level of independence. Some experience in this area is essential however it is more important that our team is enthusiastic about working in this specialist area. If this is you then we would love to hear from you
Main duties of the job
This post requires a motivated, positive person with previous experience and an understanding of the Rehabilitation process, management of complex neurological conditions and challenging behaviour. Applicants will be committed to inter-disciplinary team working and the empowerment of individuals. You must have 1st level Nursing Qualification, and evidence of continuing professional development
