An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and forward thinking individual to join our Day Surgery team at Wycombe Hospital.
Having previously achieved Hub Accreditation status, we cater for patients on the High Volume Low Complexity (HVLC) pathway. The team is currently expanding and we are looking for a committed team member capable of delivering high quality, patient-focused care within a busy, progressive and varied department. We offer opportunities to work with Breast, ENT. General , Gynaecological, Orthopaedics, Plastic, and Spinal Surgeries.You will be committed to clinical excellence with effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.Working hours are Monday to Friday.
You should have a flexible approach to working hours and be prepared to develop skills within the Day Surgery Admissions and Discharge Areas.In house training opportunities and professional development will be available.Applicants must be a registered nurse with an NMC registration and have at least 2 years Band 5 experience.
Main duties of the job
Acts as a role model to develop and encourage harmonious working relationships and professional rapport within the department
Deputising for department sister when required - attending meetings and manage daily department issues in their absence
Management of day to day service and issues
The role requires commitment to work across all sites within the Trust. when required.
Promoting continuous development in clinical practice and delivery of patient care, encouraging innovation and appropriate change in service delivery.
To ensure the delivery of high quality patient care throughout the department.
To provide visible effective professional and managerial leadership to staff.
Represent the department in a professional manner at all times.
