Job summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality, patient-centred, compassionate care with a focus on promoting health and independence under direct and indirect supervision.
They will work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
The practitioner will work flexibly in service delivery depending on the patient and service needs.
Nursing Associate in this post will carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of a registered nurse.
The successful candidate will adhere to the professional standards of Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Main duties of the job
To work alongside Registered Nurses within the Emergency Department.To deliver care and to guide patients during their stay on the unitTo administer medicines within professional limitations and competence set by the professional bodiesTo supervise for non-registered practitioners i.e. Healthcare AssistantsContribute to the holistic assessment and management of patients careneedsTo deliver evidence-based careTo identify and plan preventative measures and anticipatory care needs in discussion with registered nursing staffTo work on own initiative and within scope of competence

- Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
- GCSE Grade A-C/Level 4-9 in Maths & English or skills functional level 2 Maths & English or equivalent

- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
- Ability to deal with non- routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact
