The post is also appropriate dual or joint ICM trainees as part of OOPE/OOPT and from equivalently experienced Trust or SAS doctors.

The POCUS training will be supervised by a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia with advanced ultrasound practice and extensive experience in mentorship.

Daytime clinical duties will be flexible around departmental requirements in addition to individual preferences if additional skills need to be maintained for revalidation e.g. anaesthetic sessions in theatre will be accommodated if required. This fellowship can support FUSIC (Focused Ultrasound in Intensive Care) accreditation in any modules of the applicant's choosing or FAMUS (Focused Acute Medicine Ultrasound) accreditation if preferred. On completion of the relevant accreditation, the applicant will have the opportunity to develop more advanced ultrasound skills including CNS, GI and VEXUS (venous excess ultrasound).
