Job summary

Would you like to be part of a dynamic team leading our pharmacy Governance and Medication Safety agenda within the Medicines Resource Centre (MRC) team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust?

We are a strongly patient focussed team who are passionate about our roles, support and develop each other and our colleagues, across our healthcare system.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be the lead for the provision and assurance of our governance and medication safety agenda in line with agreed objectives. You will manage and reduce medicines related risks and ensure that the Trust Medicines Policy and medicines legislation is complied with. You will be supported by and line manage the Medicines Safety Pharmacy Technician.

Essential

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Post-graduate diploma/MSc in clinically-based pharmacy or recognised equivalent
Pharmacy degree (BPharm, BSc or MPharm)
Independent prescribing qualification.

Desirable

Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical society
Independent Prescribing qualification

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Essential

Able to prioritise and manage own workload
Work , communicate and provide effective leadership within a team
Clear and concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner.
To have a positive attitude, be able to recognise and communicate need for change and be able to participate in change management processes.
