Job summary
A new, exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join our team as Service Manager in the Community & Rehabilitation Care Group. This is a very good opportunity for someone who seeks to make a positive difference to our patient care and pathways, patient outcomes, people (staff) and operational performance.
The post holder will support the delivery of daily operations and business, cost improvement plans and activity delivery within the Care Group and operationally manage either (1) Therapies and District Nursing or (2) Care Group Strategic Projects which include patient flow, Frailty pathways & SDEC, Community EPR implementation and outpatients. You can state if you wish to be considered for either or both roles. You will be reporting directly to a General Manager but also supported by the Director of Operations and Care Group Triumvirate.
Main duties of the job
The role supports the day to day efficient and effective production and management of the defined performance areas, reporting to a General Manager and is accountable to the Director(s) of Operations.
Works closely with clinical and operational teams within the defined service areas to respond to performance issues on a day-to-day basis, and ensure issues are swiftly resolved.Facilitate effective communication between and across services areas. Facilitate or lead new initiatives and transformational programmes. Support performance improvement alongside safe and effective care to patients. The Service Manager will have line manager responsibilities for the administration teams as agreed by SDU leads
