Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Property Services team as Accommodation Lead covering the Trust's accommodation portfolio across Buckinghamshire.
The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accommodation services which consists of around 300 properties.
The role is key to the running the service, taking responsibility for the compliance with all applicable legislation, coordination of maintenance and customer liaison.
This is a busy, customer facing role with varying duties from administration, financial, facilities management to showing around properties. The post holder will need to possess the strong administrative, organisation and communications skills.
The role requires the postholder to have the ability to travel to different sites frequently and sometimes on short notice.
This is an opportunity for the right person to drive the accommodation services, in a new team whilst having a strong emphasis on continuous improvements.
The post holder will need possess the ability and skills to work on their own initiative alongside excellent prioritisation skills to need the demand of the role.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the Trust is always compliant with all its legal requirements.
To ensure health and safety compliance across the accommodation portfolio, including hazard identification and reporting.
To lead the successful delivery and maintenance of the accommodation services.
To exercise sound judgement and decision making when resolving issues arising.
To lead on the day-to-day operations of accommodation services.
Ensuring excellent communication to all stakeholders, i.e., residents, contractors, maintenance teams as required, through the correct communication channels, i.e., in person, email, telephone, letters, etc.
To draft, amend and issue tenancy agreements to residents.
To undertake inventory and property condition checks; pre and post tenancy.
To manage the tenancy deposit scheme.
To manage the procurement of items required in accommodation, i.e., fridge, microwaves, beds, etc, in accordance with the Trust policies.
Responsible for ensuring the required and relevant information are provided to the residents, through the appropriate methods of communication, i.e., residents handbook, information posters, letters, etc.
To ensure the residents handbook and information are always up to date and changed as required.
