Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding dermatology outreach team in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust providing an excellent dermatology service to inpatients across all three sites.
This role is a five day a week service Monday - Friday excluding Bank Holidays.
Dermatology experience is desirable but not essential as in house and other training will be given.
The post holder should be a registered nurse who will be managed and trained by the Dermatology Lead Nurse giving the post holder the specialist skills and knowledge to assess and treat patients within their remit. This training will provide the knowledge and skills for the post holder to provide advice and support to in- patients and nursing staff where appropriate.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be trained to be responsible for a defined caseload of patients referred to dermatology and review in-patients, as well as those presenting as emergency attendances as required under the guidance of the outreach lead nurse.
- The post holder will work closely with other multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that high quality evidence-based patient care is provided
