Job summary
Applications are invited for enthusiastic and dynamic Locum Consultant Dermatologist to join our well established and expanding department. This is a replacement post for a general dermatologist and is ideally suited for someone with or wishing to develop a specialist interest eg patch testing, autoimmune disease, vulval dermatoses, complex surgery / Mohs micrographic surgery. It is anticipated that this post will be for 10 programmed activities per week. However, we would be happy to interview applicants wishing to work part time or in a job share.

Main duties of the job
The new appointees are expected to have a broad-based dermatology background to help deliver general dermatology, paediatric dermatology and skin cancer services. However, the jobs are flexible and can be tailored to include an individual's area of interest including Mohs micrographic surgery for those with expertise in this area.
It is expected that the post holders will have or will develop a subspecialty interest to complement the department, as well as share in the consultant clinical responsibilities, participate in Advice & Guidance/ eRS vetting of referrals and join the weekday, daytime on-call rota for emergencies/ in-patient referrals. It is anticipated that successful applicants will also participate in teaching, training, audit and research, as well as help develop specialist nurse clinics and GPwERs.
