Job summary
We are looking for an administrator to work with the surgical site infection surveillance team within the infection prevention and control team
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the SSI Surveillance, managing all relevant data, and performing a range of clinical assessments in line with accepted standards of practice.
The post-holder will be required to assist the surveillance of surgical wounds of patients following discharge and develop, implement, and monitor an effective surgical site infection prevention strategy.
The post holder will provide comprehensive patient information and timelines for a robust surgical site surveillance programme.The post holder will also support the Infection Prevention and Control/ OPAT team in operational performance.
The post will consist of the full range of administrative and secretarial duties, some of which will require the exercise of an initiative to a significant level and involve the use of office equipment using appropriate secretarial skills.They will communicate effectively with the clinical teams to ensure good patient experience, including proactive follow-up of outcomes and results.
