Job summary
NHS England (NHSE) South East Workforce, Training and Education Directorate has commissioned Buckinghamshire Health and Social Care Academy (BHSCA) (hosted through Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust) in partnership with Allied Health Solutions (AHS) to undertake an eighteen-month project, alongside working within the AHP Faculty of BHSCA. This post is 3 days a week with the additional 2 days a week working directly for the academy on non-specified projects.
The objective of this innovative programme is to support the Allied Health Professionals in the South East to lead on strengthening the integration between Social Care and Health adult services.
The programme of work commenced in January 2024 and is scheduled for completion in June 2025.
The programme will take a Social Care led approach and initially this post holder, as a member of the delivery team will engage with Local Authorities/Unitary Authorities in the South East to identify the AHPs and Social Workers working in Social Care across the South East. Population needs' data from NHSE South East will help inform this work. A systematic approach to addressing the five dimensions outlined in the AHPs Leading Integration Framework will be taken.
The programme team will be led by Professor Mary J Lovegrove OBE and June Davis (Directors, Allied Health Solutions). The team is comprised of AHS, which includes associates, and a part-time project Fellow (this role).
Main duties of the job
- Being a core member of the Programme Oversight Group
- Working closely with internal and external teams, stakeholders and organisations to advise, support, facilitate and monitor implementation of the programme.
- Proactively engaging with key stakeholders across the South East Region
- Supporting and taking responsibility for identified activities in the programme of work in the emerging and developing categories to support the delivery of outputs linked to all five dimensions of the AHPs Leading Integration Framework

- Allied Health Professional with current registration with HCPC or General Osteopathic Council
- Educated to master's degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
Desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project or equivalent experience
