Job summary

An exciting opportunity has presented for a dynamic and motivated pharmacist to join our Integrated Medicine pharmacy team. We are looking to recruit to the post of Lead Advanced Pharmacist Integrated Medicine who will play a pivotal role in leading, managing and further developing the pharmacy service provided to the division, in particular Respiratory clinical areas.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for leading, managing, delivering, planning and developing the clinical pharmaceutical services to the Integrated Medicine Division in liaison with the Pharmacy Team Lead - Integrated Medicine. Primary area of focus for post holder to be on Respiratory inpatient and outpatient service areas.

  • To provide a consistently high pharmaceutical service to patients in line with the Trust corporate objectives and the NHS plan.
  • To provide leadership and training of the team that delivers this service to ensure service provided is to high standards.
  • To manage medicine related risks and ensure Trust Medicines policy and medicines legislation is complied with within the Integrated Medicine Division.
  • To be a senior member of the Pharmacy department.
  • To deputise for the Pharmacy Team Lead - Integrated Medicine when appropriate, as well as, support fellow Lead Pharmacists within the team
  • To support and have delegated responsibility for the provision of the clinical pharmaceutical services to the Integrated Medicine Division seven days a week
  • To appraise, develop and performance manage band 6 and 7 pharmacists
  • To support the Trust financial objectives by providing financial analysis and advice in relation to medicines management to the Integrated Medicine Division and the Pharmacy department.
  • To be a part of the medical gas committee, assist with Tobacco Dependency Service and overall reduction in inhaler waste and environment projects

  • Evidence of significant relevant Continuing Professional Development
