Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Phlebotomist to join our Phlebotomy team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, the duties will include preparing the testing room with the proper tools, walking patients through the process when inserting needles and retrieving samples and labelling samples for further analysis in medical laboratories.
Main duties of the job
To participate in the provision and Maintenance of a high calibre, efficient and professional Phlebotomy service within the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
To perform venepuncture (the piercing/puncturing of veins) and veneole (capillary sampling) blood collection, that is invasive and clinical procedures.
To be able to work in the ward areas and in the outpatient department
