Job summary
Healthcare assistants are essential members of the bSHaW (Buckinghamshire sexual health and wellbeing) team. The main work base for this role is Shaw Clinic Wycombe Hospital but the successful applicant will need to commit to working at Amersham Hospital on a Monday 1-8pm. The service is closed at weekends and on bank holidays.
We are looking for someone to join our established HCA team. The successful applicant will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team. The role is multi-faceted involving some administrative duties such as stock control to ensure the smooth running of the clinical service, though the majority of the role is clinical.
Main duties of the job
To participate in health promotion in the clinic.
To chaperone in the assessment of individual patient needs including coil fittings, under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Doctor.
To undertake clinical interventions, unsupervised, as delegated by a senior team member, including venepuncture, microscopy, blood pressure, temperature and pulse, administration of vaccines
Screening of asymptomatic patient and use of EPR system.
Management of clinical stock using electronic procurement system
