Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Community Paediatric Consultant to join our integrated Children and Young Peoples Service. We are offering an up to 10 PA post to work within the Buckinghamshire Community Paediatric team and support the neurodevelopmental Collaborative Pathway with Oxford Health.
Working with the new leadership and management team the role offers opportunities for the successful candidate to introduce innovative ideas to help shape the community paediatric services in Buckinghamshire as well as developing interests in the Children and Young People services. The post holder would also be encouraged to develop into an SDU lead role.
The new leadership team are looking for a Community Paediatrician who would like to help shape the community paediatric services in Buckinghamshire.
We are looking for applicants with varied experience.
There is a dedicated leadership training programme in the trust for development of new consultant with strong ethos around coaching and mentoring.
We work closely with our primary care colleagues and commissioners to develop and deliver robust sustainable services for children and young people in Buckinghamshire. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for paediatric referral clinics in the community,statutory assessments, initial and review health assessments for children looked after, taking part in assessing referrals working closely and liaising with schools and other CYP multi-disciplinary professionals such as health visitors, school nurses, speech and language therapists, physiotherapy and occupational therapists.
You will be part of a joint CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment SPA teamfor children from 5 to 19 years presenting with ADHD and ASD.
The post holder will take part in departmental referral meetings with clinical colleagues and in liaison meetings with other professionals within the locality.
You must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register (or be within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training).
