Job summary

Are you passionate about delivering safe, high quality care for patients? The Clinical Effectiveness Team are looking to recruit a new member to support improvements in the quality of patient care by stimulating and promoting clinical effectiveness within the Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This senior member of the team will support the Clinical Effectiveness Manager in the day to day management of the clinical audit team, manage a wide portfolio of national and local clinical audit projects, be pivotal to delivery of the Trusts clinical audit training programme and proactive in identifying opportunities to promote clinical effectiveness within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Experience of working within clinical governance is essential and a good knowledge of local and national clinical audit programmes, NICE, NCEPOD preferred. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and facilitation skills, a flexible approach to working and be able to manage a varied workload, whilst working both on their own initiative and as part of a team. They must have the ability to motivate and enthuse others and be tenacious when required. An important part of this role is the development and delivery of training and supporting the development of more junior members of the team. Experience in the use of standard software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams) will be essential for data collection, analysis and report writing purposes. Whilst the post is based at Amersham Hospital, some cross-site working will be required and there will be the opportunity to work from home some of the time once induction and training has been completed.
