We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated customer focused individual to join our team on Brightlingsea Ward.

You will actively participate as a full member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the ward by managing the reception and administrative functions in a timely, effective and efficient way alongside Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly manner, be hard working and highly motivated with good customer service skills.

Main duties of the job

  • Receiving new patients and accompanying relatives/friends and answering initial questions pending Ward Sister/Nurse-in-Charge being available.
  • Admitting patients to Epic EPR and printing of labels, wristbands and any forms required.
  • In liaison with appropriate ward staff, assist in arrangements for patients discharges and transfers to other hospitals or wards i.e. booking transport and follow up appointments for outpatients/X- ray etc.
  • Ensure necessary documentation relating to patient discharge has been completed (all reports filed and TTA received).
  • Discharge patient using Epic EPR
  • To maintain an up-to-date bed status using Epic EPR
  • Arrange patient appointments.
