Job summary
We are looking for a Ward Clerk to join the Child Health team in Ipswich Hospital on a part time basis. The role will involve working with experienced ward clerks on the Children's Ward as well as the Paediatric Assessment and Investigation units.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a friendly manner as you will be communicating with a wide variety of people. You will be hard working, highly motivated and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
This is past time 24.5 hours per week, fixed term/ secondment post until 23rd August 2026.
The post can close earlier if sufficient amount of applications received.
Main duties of the job
Consistent provision of higher level, comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative support. To utilise and incorporate the required technology/hospital systems including Big Hand/PAS/Evolve/Lorenzo and any other new technology or system(s) that are introduced including demand/capacity tools.
To provide a lead role in the smooth organisation of the department and an advanced secretarial/administration service to the medical teams. Using own initiative, managing, prioritising, planning and organising own time using extensive knowledge, skills and experience.
