An opportunity has arisen for an Speciality Doctor to join our team at Colchester Hospital in the Community Paediatrics team. This post provides an excellent opportunity to join our enthusiastic and committed team, providing high quality health care to the local child population. Main duties of the job
CLINICAL
The post-holder will:
Undertake regular clinics including general developmental, neurobehavioural (ADHD), social communication disorders and neurodisability clinics
Undertake sub-speciality clinics as agreed at job planning
Participate in the paediatric safeguarding clinic rota for non-urgent safeguarding assessment and advice
May participate in the paediatric cover provided by Colchester Hospital University Trust for the Essex Sexual Abuse Referral Centre (this is not a requirement of the post)
Work in conjunction with acute consultant colleagues to help co-ordinate the provision of medical care in the community for children with special and complex needs / chronic illnesses (e.g. neurodisability, epilepsy, genetic disorders etc.)
- Participate in the administrative duties associated with patient care and the running of the department
