Job summary
Colchester Hospital are looking for dynamic and motivated nurses to join our busy and friendly Brightlingsea Ward.
The ward is a 30 bedded emergency surgical ward which specialises in colorectal and upper GI, urology and ENT admissions. We provide care for patients requiring hospitalisation before and following emergency surgery.
This is a great opportunity to continue or start your career within surgery where you will be supported in your career and professional development.
It is essential for you to have recent acute hospital experience for this post.
We are looking for you nurses who are passionate about providing the best experience for our patients undergoing surgery.
Main duties of the job
- To meet the needs of the Trust with regard to Induction, mandatory and statutory training
- To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualisednursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice.
- To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines
- To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team
- To work within the Trust's Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, the Ward/ DepartmentPhilosophy and the NMC Code of Conduct/ Professional Standards for the Protection of Patients.
