Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Medical Secretary within the Urology department based at Ipswich Hospital.

This post is part time 27 hours.

This is a key role for the division. We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and enthusiastic team player to integrate with the current team and provide an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to the clinicians, patients & other team members.

You will have attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and plan. You must be able to work using your own initiative and be flexible to work where the need is greatest.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will provide efficient and pro-active secretarial and admin support to the large team of busy consultants and other team members.

You will be the first contact for patients and queries on behalf of the Consultants and Department. You will work as part of a team, supportingother team members and covering when required.

Skills required for the post include: good typing and audio skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, effective time management skills, good IT andsecretarial skills, good communication, interpersonal and organisation skills, and a good team member.
