We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated patient focused individual to join our team. This is a Job Share opportunity. You will be expected to work on Haughley Ward every Monday and Tuesday; Thursdays and Fridays on Grundisburgh Ward . You will join a friendly, supportive team who are determined to make a difference to the patients.

You will actively participate as a full member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the ward by managing the reception and administrative functions in a timely, effective and efficient way alongside Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers. You are expected to support the Ward Sisters in booking staff's trainings on ESR etc.

You will have a friendly manner, be hard working and highly motivated with good customer service skills.

This post is a 15 hours/week contract with Grundisburgh ward and 15 hours/week for Haughley Ward.

Main duties of the job

Your duties will include admission and discharge of patients on Lorenzo and Evolve computer systems, booking of appointments and filing of notes, answering phones and liaising with multidisciplinary teams/departments across the trust. It is also an expectation to assist the ward sisters in booking staff's training on ESR and HealthRoster, ordering items on Integra and NHS Supply.

You should be able to work autonomously, be able to prioritise your workload and to work well within a team. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, both face-to-face and over the phone.

It would be beneficial to have NHS experience and possess excellent IT and clerical skills. You will be dealing with the staff and general public so it is paramount that you have good people skills. Working hours will be fixed days on Haughley and Grundisburgh.
