Healthcare Support Workers are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses in providing high quality care to our patients.

We will be holding an HCSW Taster Day on Friday 5th April 2024 at Colchester Hospital. If you are selected to attend, the event will give you the opportunity to learn all about HCSW roles, how you can develop your career and be interviewed, all in one place.
The event runs from 9.00am - 3.30pm (you will be required to attend the whole event)
Full Time & Part Time hours available
Please note we are unable to provide Sponsorship for these posts.
Training and support will be offered to all candidates including support to complete the mandatory Care Certificate over the first 12 weeks.
Our Healthcare Support Worker's work a rota pattern, so you MUST be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends including Bank Holidays. We are unable to offer set shifts patterns.
Please note you may be required to undertake a Numeracy & Literacy test as part of the pre-employment checks.
Main duties of the job

To meet the direct and indirect care needs of patients under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse.To meet the needs of the Trust with regards to Induction, mandatory and statutory training.To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines.To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team.
