Job summary

Do you want to be part of a vibrant Gynaecology team?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Gynaecology department as sister/charge nurse at Ipswich Hospital.

You will cover Stour Centre and our Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit.

If you are excited by the challenge of providing inspirational leadership to a nursing team, have a passion for high standards of clinical care and for developing a high quality service for our patients, this role could be for you.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to develop and expand their leadership and management skills within gynaecology.

Main duties of the job

  • To undertake the Productive Ward Programme and achieve the 12 key objectives as outlined in "Clarifying the role of the Ward Sister
  • Promote high standards of professional practice and the delivery of quality care within the corporate policies, protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide clinical leadership
  • To have overall responsibility for the operational management of clinical service delivery at Unit level.
  • Line management of nursing and support staff
