We are looking for a Medical Secretary to join the Musculoskeletal Division, specifically within Rheumatology on a secondment/fixed term bases. You will be based at Ipswich Hospital. We are a busy, friendly department caring for patients with a wide range of rheumatology problems.
You must possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including excellent keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft. You must have the ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach to workloads, delivering excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure a high standard of secretarial and administrative service is consistently delivered by undertaking all required tasks and activities on a daily basis
- To utilise the required technology including Big Hand, Evolve, Microsoft and any other new technology or system(s) that are introduced and support other team members to do so to deliver an efficient administrative and secretarial service.
- To recommend and support the implementation of service improvements to own and team working practice to improve workflow.
- To train and develop other team members to ensure competencies are developed, sustained and updated and to deliver the required administrative and secretarial service in a changing working environment
