Job summary

ESNEFT's Microsoft 365 Developer will work closely with our Automation, software Development and Integration teams to provide support and oversee the management of M365 applications, services, and infrastructure.

We are looking for someone who has the right mindset and key skills to:

  • Design, develop, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions, tailored to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate M365 applications into existing systems.
  • Customise and extend Teams, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Dataverse and other associated M365 components to optimise our workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to M365 applications.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to propose innovative solutions

This is a new role within the Trust and we are happy to consider candidates who wish to engage in an accelerated learning pathway and develop into this role.

Main duties of the job

Key elements of this role include:

  • Ensuring all technical tasks, solutions and developments are fully documented with steps taken to resolve issues clearly communicated within the detail of user stories, PDDs, SDDs and operational documentation.
  • Assimilate the specifics of a process, working with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts or process owners to extract a granular list of steps that describe how the process can be supported or improved using M365 solutions.
  • To be technically competent and qualified using the M365 suite and associated technologies.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions across multiple teams and business units and lead the adoption / implementation activities associated with new creative M365 solutions within the business.
  • Ensure all M365 solutions are fully tested and certified before launching into the live environment.
  • To create M365 solutions using robust documentation supporting the Microsoft 365 development lifecycle methodolog

  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development within a technical sphere.

Desirable

  • Microsoft Certified: Developer Associate (or similar)

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of enabling change in an organisational context, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to people.
  • Experience of application of a range of investigative/business analysis and change management processes, tools and techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Power Platform, and associated tools & underlying technologies.
  • Proven experience as an M365 Developer or similar role.
  • An understanding of team management, policies and procedures governing the organisational approach to managing staff.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Desirable

  • Experience of delivering Solutions using key NHS applications including ESR, ERS, PAS, EPR, TRAC, NHS jobs.

  • Networking contacts within the ICT industry
  • Experience of working with organisations that are new to adopting digital solutions.
  • Experience with integrating M365 services with third-party applications and systems.

  • Strong understanding of information architecture, security, and compliance principles (preferably within the M365 ecosystem).
  • Ability to identify and articulate the need for change.
