Job summary

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Administrator to support within the Hotel Services Team at Colchester Hospital.

You will effectively provide a range of administrative support within Hotel Services, which includes receiving and dealing with enquires, from staff internal and external to the Trust.

To ensure that accurate records are kept (verbal, written and electronic).

You will be required to adhere to specific administration tasks without management direction, using the materials and equipment as they have been trained and instructed by the Hotel Services Manager.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for checking staff attendance daily and updating the records by editing the exceptions for absences, sickness, lateness, overtime and Annual Leave on the Health Roster.
  • To raise any anomalies as and when they arise to management within Hotel Services or Head of Facilities
  • To ensure all aspects of payroll queries for both internal and external staff within Hotel services are dealt with promptly and accurately as and when they arise and highlighting any concerns to management or the most appropriate person within Hotel Services.
  • Responsible for liaising with Health Roster & payroll for all new starters and ensuring shift patterns are correct within Hotel Services in readiness for signature.
  • Completing Change of circumstances for any amendments to staff shift patterns, e.g. change of hours, maternity leave
