Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead the complex transformation programme for workstreams and Pathways for mobilisation of the Dame Clare Marx Elective Orthopaedic Centre, which will consist of up to 8 theatres and up to 3 wards and so be a major Orthopaedic Elective Centre not only within the UK but across Europe.
As the appointee you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary partners within ESNEFT and the wider health and social care system both regionally and nationally.
You will have excellent communication, negotiation and facilitation skills and the ability to convey complex information in an easily understood manner and deliver to challenging timescales.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team to implement major change within one of the largest acute NHS organisation. This will deliver significant improvements in patient care and experience particularly within this region.
This is fixed term/secondment opportunity until 31/03/2024 ( under review for extension).

Main duties of the job
The primary objective of the role is to lead the complex transformation programme for the workstreams and Pathways for the Elective Orthopaedic Centre also known as the Dame Clare Marx Building across the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) organisation within the agreed quality standards and within the resource and income base available, to support the development of a clinically led organisation within the wider health and social care system. This will include designing and delivering programmes and projects in accordance with ESNEFT and wider system and alliance strategies.
This includes leading on the development, implementation, establishment and review of performance management systems within the Dame Clare Marx Orthopaedic Centre - it is critical that this is done collaboratively with MSK across both sites and across other impacted Divisions.
The role will report to the Integration Advisor, though day-to-day close working with Associate Director of Operations for MSK and Specialist Surgery, MSK Teams, Associate Director of Operations for Surgery & Anaesthetics, Anaesthetists & Theatre Teams. The role will work across both Colchester and Ipswich Hospital locations.
