Job summary
We are looking to recruit a face fit tester at either Colchester or Ipswich Hospital.
This important role requires fitting and advising staff on respiratory protective equipment (FFP3 masks), this is to keep them safe when they are exposed to respiratory diseases.
You will be given training so that you will have an excellent understanding of the different types of FFP3 masks available and to use different methods to undertake face fit testing.
Main duties of the job
- The fit testers are expected to understand the respiratory risks to staff and the importance of using respiratory protective equipment (FFP3 masks) for a good face fit.
- They will have an expert knowledge HSE publication INDG 479. They must have excellent inter personal skills and be able to put staff at ease to obtain a good face fit test.
- They will be required to use electrical equipment (PortaCount machine) and enter personal details onto a data base. Having discretion and a clam manner is essential.
