We are recruiting for a Chief Pharmacy Information Officer to support the development of our Pharmacy department, Clinical informatics team and the Trust strategic goal to implement an Electronic Patient record (EPR) system across multiple sites and impacting the majority of workforce. The post will work collaboratively with CNIO, CMIO and the EPR Programme Manager in the delivery of an enterprise EPR to the Trust. They will work across clinical and non-clinical areas to support a collaborative approach to improve how the Trust works digitally.

The role will be allocated a base of operations in Ipswich or Colchester however will also be expected to travel to accommodate stakeholder engagement across the Trust's community areas. There will also be an expectation to meet face to face with the EPR team members on a regular basis while virtual meetings will also be prominent, working from home is an option, howeverwill not always be possible.
Main duties of the job
As part of the role, you will be an educator in digital literacy at numerous levels within Pharmacy, engaging with the clinical & non-clinical workforce to ensure they have the appropriate skills to carry out the everyday tasks of the professional roles within ESNEFT while promoting the digital strategy. You will be expected to support a shared governance process to enable a process of change management toward a standardised clinical process, ensuring a sustainable model of digital systems.
You will build collaborative relationships across areas, including Clinical Systems team, training teams, Clinical Informatics, EPR Programme Team, Education leads & of course act as Pharmacy liaison with leadership stakeholders. You will act as both a mediator & translator in facilitating & designing of the EPR Pharmacy workflows, be main point of contact for EPR Governance.
You will engage the clinical management teams in preparation of detailed operational training policies & procedures related to a new or optimised systems implementation to ensure the clinical safety standards & information governance requirements are adhered to. There will be an expectation to build a reporting structure as the EPR programme gathers pace in preparation for both Go live training & post implementation, this will form part of the long-term Pharmacy department strategy in digital development, leading on opportunities to support the enhancement of the EPR in a positive approach to change.
