This is an exciting time for us: our Cyber Security and Compliance team is growing and you could be part if it! We have an opportunity for a Business Continuity Analyst with a solid background in technical or ICT-adjacent roles and a solid understanding of Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery to help us develop the in-house knowledge, skills and resilience we need, and to assist our complex, multifaceted ICT department to attain the highest level of compliance.

This role is based at either of our Ipswich Hospital or Colchester Hospital sites, but we have a flexible approach to home working.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of ICT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery policies, plans and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of ICT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery policies, plans and procedures and their interdependencies.
  • Act as liaison for auditing and examination of ICT Business Continuity & disaster recovery processes. Contribute and supply information to the Trusts Data Security and Protection Toolkit submission.
  • Liaise with Information Asset Owners and stakeholders, perform Business Impact Analysis against key ICT systems, assist with determining Recovery Point Objectives, Recovery Time Objectives, and document.
  • Assist ICT Infrastructure teams with preparing and documenting back and restore plans.
  • Collaborate with Trust IT technical staff, ICS partners & Third parties to ensure that ICT BC & DC solutions are adequate, in place, maintained, and tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.
  • Assist with scheduling and taking part in ICT BC & DR exercises.
  • Work with the EPRR to ensure that the Trust wider BC & DR procedures Align with ICT BC strategy and procedures.
  • Work closely with the IT Security team in ensuring information security standards are maintained in the event of a BC or DR Event.
  • Creation and maintenance of design diagrams that are required to support ICT BC & DR.
  • Collaborate with an established Infrastructure Architects.
  • Undertaking research and development initiatives on a range of emerging technologies.
