East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust have an exciting opening to join an established multidisciplinary diabetes foot service.
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist to join and lead the multidisciplinary foot service at Ipswich Hospital.
The successful applicant will work within the hospital in a variety of settings including wards and our dedicated outpatient clinic.
This role will suit a dynamic and organised podiatrist with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. The applicant will need a working knowledge of the acute management of diabetes foot complications with previous experience within the specialist area of high risk diabetes foot care.
Main duties of the job
We work closely with the Diabetes and Vascular teams and there will be opportunities to work alongside the Consultants in clinic and on the wards. This will provide an enhanced clinical experience to further develop the multidisciplinary foot service overseeing clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and development of staff for safe delivery and innovation of the service.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate confident leadership skills/ interest in development of leadership skills, as well as advanced clinical reasoning and effective management of complex patients. This post will be a combination of clinical and managerial duties to further develop the unique multidisciplinary foot service.
