About our Pharmacy Service

Career progression of the current post holder has created an opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to our team in providing high quality and respected clinical pharmacy services as the Pharmacy Outpatient Dispensary Manager.

You will be based at Colchester Hospital, spending a significant proportion of time working within our dispensaries, supporting the clinical pharmacy service and the wider Pharmacy Medicines Optimisation agenda.

Being a key member of the multidisciplinary team you will be expected to fully integrate within the wider hospital clinical environment providing a patient centred approach to medicines management and governance.

The post holder has specific accountability to:

  • ensure the safe and effective management, co-ordination and delivery of, the Outpatient pharmacy dispensary service at Colchester hospital.
  • provide professional leadership to other registered pharmacy technicians and all other members of the Pharmacy Dispensary team; especially those working within the Outpatient Dispensary environment.
