As a Respiratory Registrar you will be involved with Ward Rounds, Outpatient Clinics, Diagnostic Lists and Lung Cancer MDTs. You will participate in the weekend Ward Reg Rota and support Undergraduate UBMS Medical School Teaching.

Main duties of the job
The exact job plan will be agreed with the post-holder, but will include:
- 4x sessions per week working as a registrar level doctor on the Respiratory Ward
- 1x session of SPA activity
- 6x sessions of Ward Referrals
- 1x Respiratory Clinic per week
- 1x session per week of EBUS/Bronch
- 1x session of Lung Cancer MDT
- Participation in the Weekend Ward Reg Rota on a 1:7 basis.
- Undergraduate UBMS Medical School Teaching
- Care of Respiratory inpatient and outpatient
Participation in academic activities in the Respiratory department including teaching, training and research.

- Evidence of achievement of CMT competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice including: -Good clinical care -Maintaining good medical practice -Good relationships and communication with patients -Good working relationships with colleagues -Good teaching and training -Professional behaviour and probity -Delivery of good acute clinical care.

- Independent Ultrasound guided pleural procedure skills
- Bronchoscopy skills and willingness to develop advanced skills including EBUS
- Management of NIV u
- Familiar with lung cancer management and MDT involvement
