The Cardiology Department at MKUH is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated, highly experience device Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management team. In this key role, you will contribute to service expansion, continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

With the continuous growth of our local community, MKUH has recently invested in a refurbished Cath Lab to support our established PCI service. Alongside this, we have successfully launched a physiologist-led ILR implant service in close collaboration with our Consultant Cardiologists. Looking ahead, we continue to explore opportunities for innovation, ensuring our patients receive the very best care.

Main duties of the job

  • Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist providing independent specialist support to the Cardiac Device Service in the implantation of Pacemakers (including LBAP) and ILR's along with follow-up of the full range of implantable cardiac devices (implantable defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices, pacemakers and implantable loop recorders).
  • To support PCI and diagnostic angiography.
  • Performsand reports highly specialist cardiac assessments appropriate to role.
  • Assistsin the day-to-day coordination of the department.
