Bank Paediatric Dietitian

Hours: Zero hours contract, up to 37.5 hrs per week - part time hours will also be considered
We are looking for an enthusiastic Paediatric Dietitian, with excellent clinical and communication skills, to join our friendly and supportive team based at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with the multi-disciplinary paediatric team providing specialist dietetic care to children both as inpatients and outpatients. The candidate is likely to cover general paediatric clinics and assist with inpatient cover on the children's ward. An individual's previous experience and skill set will determine the specific caseload assigned.
The Paediatric Dietetic team consists of 6 Dietitians and a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner providing a service to a number of specialist areas including allergy, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, neonatal unit, and home enteral feeding. This is in addition to general paediatric clinics where infants and children are seen with a range of conditions including faltering growth, nutritional support, and cow's milk allergy.

Main duties of the job
You will be joining our wider forward- thinking department of over 30 registered dietitians, dietetic support workers, admin staff, covering acute, community, paediatric and learning disability services. We have excellent support staff and take students for clinical placements
As a Department and Trust, we will provide support and opportunities for clinical and leadership CPD, we also committed to supporting external education and career development opportunities. We will provide supervision and mentoring with experienced dietitians and opportunities for gaining experience from a number of specialist dietitians working across the wider department (paediatrics, cancer care, learning disabilities, gastro, community, mental health)
We have a dedicated Therapy Practice Education team to support staff development
You should have excellent clinical and communication skills, and can demonstrate an ability to be flexible, manage time effectively and have a strong commitment to teamwork. The successful candidate will work close with supportive multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic and patient-centred service
You will be joining our wider team of over 25 registered dietitians, dietetic support workers and admin staff, covering acute, community, paediatric and learning disability services
There will be opportunities for CPD (internally and externally to the Trust), previous post holders have attended PENG clinical update, BDA diabetes modules and low FODMAP diet training
