Department Urology Investigation Unit
Band 3 £22,816 - £24,336 per annum, pro rata if part-time
Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Our dedicated unit specialises in the investigation and treatment of urological conditions in an outpatient facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic senior healthcare assistant to come and join the team in this cutting-edge facility.

Main duties of the job
The urology investigation unit is a dedicated area for appointments, clinics and procedures. The post holder will work flexibly across the service to contribute to an environment that promotes excellence in the unit.
The aim of the role is to assist in the provision of specialist nursing care in the urology investigation unit. The post holder will be responsible for undertaking practical procedures under the supervision of trained nursing staff whilst working as part of the multidisciplinary team.

The surgery division at MKUH, which covers specialties including theatres and the Intensive Care Unit, offers a variety of roles and opportunities, both clinical and non-clinical. The division are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and forward-thinking professionals to join the team.
MKUH is one of the leading hospitals in Europe for implementing robotics to assist in surgery, becoming the first in the continent to use the CMR Versius robot for gynaecological surgery. Since its introduction in 2019, the theatres team have completed over 500 surgical cases, the first hospital in the UK to reach this milestone, achieving this in March 2023.

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Complete on-the-job training within theatre environment and outpatient department within the first year.
