This post currently attracts £10,000 Golden Hello on appointment, plus Anniversary payments as following:
- £5k after 12 months employment
- £5k after 24 months employment
In addition, this post attracts relocation expenses of up to £8k
Applications are invited for a Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join the dynamic and proactive Palliative Care Service in Milton Keynes. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will bring skills, knowledge and experience to this new role.
Application must hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview and are required to hold membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK or equivalent qualifications). CESR candidates must have written GMC confirmation of successful application.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team managing patients in their own homes, in the Hospice in patient unit and in the hospital setting.
The post holder will be contracted to provide a Palliative Medicine service along with their 2 consultant colleagues to Willen Hospice and Milton Keynes University Hospital. Candidates must hold full and specialist registration (with a licence to practice) with the General Medical Council and hold membership of the Royal College of Physicians. Newly qualified UK trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CTT) or be within six months of being awarded CCT or equivalent by date of interview.
