Operational Manager - Audiology
Department Surgery
Band 8a £50,952 - £57,349 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an experienced Audiology lead to lead our team in the delivery of our adult and Paediatric service. You will provide clear direction and leadership to all Audiology staff whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital. The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of the Audiology team including achieving and upholding of CQC and other national standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader to take the Audiology service forward in line with local and national direction, working as part of the wider multidisciplinary team. To succeed in this role you will need senior experience as an audiologist and able to demonstrate experience of previous managerial experience.

Main duties of the job
This post requires excellent management and operational skills with a proactive and flexible approach to leading an incredibly interesting range of services. The post holders will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to lead Audiology to deliver key targets. The post requires a resilient and enthusiastic manager with a track record of delivery within an acute setting, who is looking for a stimulating and challenging career, with the opportunity to shape the future delivery of Audiology services in Milton Keynes.
The postholder will be an ethical and authentic leader who is committed, enthusiastic, resilient and motivated to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a safe, effective and efficient theatre environment for our patients and staff.

Essential
- MSc in Audiological Science Plus CACCCC
- BSc Audiology or BTEC qualification in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement and successfully completed both parts of BAAT I and II or equivalent.
- Evidence of CPD
- Eligible / registered as a clinical scientist with HPC or on the voluntary register with RCCP.
- Advanced courses in Audiology.
- Registered to practice as an audiologist / clinical scientist with either Healthy and Care Professions Council [HPC] or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists [RCCP].
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of audiology audit and advanced audiological test techniques.
