Principal Pharmacist EPMA

Band 8a £50,952 - £57,349 per annum, pro rata if part-time
Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EPMA pharmacist to join our EPMA team on a maternity cover basis. You will play a crucial role in the ongoing optimisation of the EPMA system to ensure patient safety, efficient use of resources and cost-effective prescribing.
We are a Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) trust with a fully integrated electronic prescribing and medication record system, using Cerner Millenium. EPMA is live in all inpatient areas, including ICU, paediatrics/NNU and theatres. You will be part of our friendly and supportive EPMA team which consists of two Pharmacy technicians and two pharmacists. The post offers a pharmacist with IT and clinical skills the opportunity to innovate and further develop the use of technology and informatics to deliver our expanding digital agenda and quality improvement opportunities. You will work with colleagues in the IT department, Cerner (Oracle Health) and clinical stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
- Hands on build work within the EPR/EPMA system (eCARE) and ensuring the clinical configuration of the system meets user, trust, commissioner and statutory requirements, delivering maximum benefit for the trust
- Clinical project management and change management
- Stakeholder engagement
- Business as usual maintenance
- Delivery of training and education on the medicines elements of the system
There is also a clinical element to the role, with some of the time dedicated to providing a clinical pharmacy service.
