Band 8a £50,952 - £57,349 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles are open to flexible working

12 month secondment or fixed term contract

An opportunity has arisen for a Maternity Compliance, Assurance and Transformation Lead at MKUH.

Main duties of the job

The Maternity Compliance, Assurance and Transformation Lead will be leading on embedding of the Trust culture of continuous improvement within maternity to ensure the service meets the overall aims of the Three-year delivery plan for maternity and neonatal services (2023, whilst supporting on other national and local maternity services requirements, such as NHS Resolutions and SBLCBv3. They will develop smooth processes to ensure effective project management, assurance reporting and evidence collation is embedded at all levels. They will support the department with all compliance reporting and assurance provision to relevant external authorities.

  • Be a key member of the maternity senior leadership team providing a visible and accessible presence within the maternity department.
  • Be responsible for assisting the Divisional Chief Midwife to develop and deliver sustainable improvements within MKUH maternity services.

Clinical Governance and risk

  • Work in partnership with a range of clinicians and managers to promote patient safety, governance, and risk management.
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership with specialist advice and support in relation to quality improvement projects.

Management and Leadership responsibilities

  • To provide effective clinical leadership and support to all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective team dynamics.
  • To provide line management to member(s) of the governance team

  • To participate on the senior leadership team on call system.
