We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and caring leader for our service who is passionate about diabetic care.You will have excellent communication, negotiating and prioritising skills to manage and lead the service and established team. You should be flexible and responsive to work both hospital and community sites adapting to the relevant needs at the time. We are working towards providing a 7-day service model.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be the senior nurse specialist for the Milton Keynes Integrated Diabetes Service (MK IDS) and Milton Keynes University Hospital Inpatient Diabetes Service as the operational lead. Coordinating the Diabetes Specialist Nurse/admin team and supporting the Consultant Clinical lead in developing the service to improve diabetes clinical standards and achieve patient satisfaction for diabetes (adults) care pathway. This role will involve collaborative working relationships across the Milton Keynes Health Economy and will impact on both primary and secondary care.
