The closing date is 01 March 2026

Job summary

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating patient operations within a busy, supportive team?

We are seeking a Senior Booking Co-ordinator to join our well-established and dedicated department.

In this important role, you will work closely with patients, clinicians, and colleagues to ensure procedures are scheduled efficiently and within target times. You'll use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to balance clinical requirements with patient needs, always providing a calm, empathetic, and reassuring service.

This position is onsite, with the option for flexible working once training is completed. Every day brings something new--this is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a good sense of humour are essential.

We offer full training, ongoing support, and a friendly team environment where your contribution will make a real difference to patient experience.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week), working between 9am and 5pm.

If you enjoy working with people, can use your initiative, and want to be part of a team that truly values what you do, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to provide a comprehensive service ensuring all elective patients are admitted efficiently for surgery, in line with national standards and the Trust's Patient Access Policy.

In this key role, you will make informed and timely decisions to support effective waiting list management, ensuring patients progress smoothly through their surgical pathway. You will communicate clearly and confidently with Consultants, Managers, Theatre Teams, and Nursing Staff, helping to maximise the efficient use of Trust resources and maintain high-quality patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can balance operational priorities, work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to delivering a safe and streamlined elective service.
