Senior Research Practitioner -Oncology Haematology Lead

Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader, with experience of research delivery within healthcare to join the Oncology Haematology Clinical Trials Team working within the new Dyson Cancer Centre.

We are looking for a research practitioner (Clinical Research Nurse if NMC registered) who has extensive experience in research delivery to expand and manage the existing team and portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a background in clinical research delivery and ideally experience of working within the field on Oncology or Haematology. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the staffing requirements for the current and future portfolio and ensuring that the research workforce are competent and have capacity to deliver our portfolio of both commercial and non-commercial research .

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and management for the oncology and haematology clinical trials team.

The post holder will have a key role in maximising the effectiveness of the use of resources to deliver research within the department.

They will ensure the safe and ethical implementation of clinical research studies in accordance with Trust policies and national legislation.

The post holder will ensure a quality, customer focused service to all research participants based on expert practice working within clinical research.

The role will liaise with support departments to ensure that they have the capacity and capability to support research.
