Job summary

The post is a part time post for three days per week for a Specialty Doctor within Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This is a fixed term position for 18 months. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the existing team at the Royal United Hospital Bath.

The department is well served with junior staff members, managerial and administrative support. We have a full maxillofacial laboratory with access to digital planning technology and 3D printing.

Main duties of the job

To provide, to a high standard, a full range of specialist oral surgery and oral medicine services, treatment and care to inpatients, day cases and outpatients who need OMFS services.

To provide and develop a sub-specialty interest that complements the needs of the department and supports the interests of the existing consultants.

To contribute to the academic life of the OMFS Department, the Division and the Trust. To contribute to the teaching of junior medical staff, medical students and other Trust staff. To undertake and promote research initiatives within the Department
