Job summary

This is a 6 month fixed term post for a 10 PA Locum Consultant in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department at the Royal United Hospital Bath. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the existing team of Consultants at the Royal United Hospital Bath.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the post will involve management of general ENT conditions in both an in-patient and out-patient setting both at the RUH and in the community

The successful candidate will be expected to be fully involved in cover of emergency ENT conditions and to participate in the Consultant 1 in 7 on call rota both in and out of hours.

The job will be flexible to support the service requirements of the department; this may include work in otology, rhinology, paediatric ENT, head and neck including 2ww outpatients, depending on the needs of the department and the skills and experience of the applicant. The successful candidate may have a sub-specialist interest in one of these areas

The post holder will be expected to cover for colleagues when absent or on leave. A minimum of six weeks' notice for all leave is required.
