Do you want to take up an exciting opportunity to join our administrative team in the Breast Unit?
We are looking for a new Booking Co-ordinator to join our well established team.
If you have a calm and empathetic nature, enjoy talking to patients and can work on your own initiative this could be the job for you. You will need to be able to use your negotiating skills with clinicians and patients to ensure that patients receive their treatment within our target times.
There is always something different to learn and it is a fast paced role needing attention to detail and a sense of humour!
This is a full time post @ 37.5 hours - our hours are 9-5. Part time hours will also be considered.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a full and comprehensive administrative service to the breast unit to ensure all patients are booked within national guidelines and in accordance with the Trust's Patient Access Policy.
- To act on own initiative with an aptitude for problem solving.
- To escalate breaches to line manager and liaise with nursing and consultant teams to make best use of clinic space and ensure patients are seen in a timely manner.
- To answer the phones and greet patients as they enter the unit, ensuring attention to detail when taking personal details and checking these against the system.
- A friendly and polite manner
- Answering email queries from patients and GPs etc.
- Keeping accurate and uptodate records
