Main duties of the job
The successful post holder would work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver pain rehabilitation to patients with high levels of distress and often significant pain related disability using an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach.
The physiotherapy component of rehabilitation with the BCPS supports patients to explore their physical potential and the barriers to making changes at a physical and functional level. Physiotherapists within the team also contribute to case-working, key working and professional education. High quality supervision is provided from within the clinical team and there are many potential opportunities for involvement in unit developments, teaching and ongoing evaluation and development of interventions.
