Job summary
Are you a Paediatric Nurse with lapse Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration but looking for a way to come back to the profession you used to enjoy. Then, Return to Practice Nursing at Royal United Hospital Bath is for you. With the course fees being paid for you by NHS England plus bespoke support from our Education Team, there is no better time to return than now.
Our Return to Practice Programme offered, in collaboration with University of Plymouth delivers comprehensive training, mentorship and support. Upon successful completion of your programme and re-register with NMC you will progress into Band 5 position within our children's unit.
You will be supported within our ward areas by our excellent team to gain 450 hours of clinical practice and online through 8 days of academic work across a 9 week period with University of Plymouth. A full understanding of the skills, knowledge and behaviour required as previous NMC registrant is paramount.
How your role as a RTP Paediatric Nurse will impact the team and the organisation from a wider perspective needs to be evident in your supporting information. During your training and placement with us, you will be paid as a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker.
Main duties of the job
To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker (with facilitation) for a defined group of patients under supervision.
You will carry out specific clinical tasks and responsibilities as delegated by registered practitioners and will be able to work across the boundaries of care and organisations.
