Job summary
It is an exciting time for our organisation in this newly created post of Lead Allied Health Professional.
You will act as the Trust's ambassador for AHPs at a senior leadership level, providing expert assurance and transformation to the Trust board and across the integrated care system.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and credible AHP, and will be talented, ambitious and driven with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver the highest possible clinical and professional standards.

Main duties of the job
The Professional Lead will provide leadership, facilitation and direction to Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs) staff across the Trust.
They are responsible for providing professional leadership, quality assurance and workforce strategies for AHP services inclusive of, but not limited to;
o Adult & Children Physiotherapy
o Adult & Children Occupational Therapy
o Adult, Children & community Dietetics
o Adult & Children Speech & Language
o Podiatry
o Orthotics
o Orthoptics
o Operating Departmental Practitioners
o Paramedics
o Sonographers
o Therapeutic Radiography
o Diagnostic Radiography
Strengthening clinical leadership within the Trust, ensuring active clinical engagement and professional leadership of all AHPs. Undertake a designated range of service improvements, and innovative quality improvement solutions that will positively impact on the productivity and standards of care provided.
